ZHITKOVICHI FORESTRY

"Zhitkovichi Forestry" was organized in 1936. In recent years, as a result of the annexation of land from other landowners, the forestry area has become 101.8 thousand hectares. together with 10 forestry: "Bereznyansky", "Milevichsky", "Leninsky", "Zalyutychsky", "Belovsky", "Ludenevichsky", "Lyakhovichsky", "Yurkevichsky", "Khvoikovsky" and "Zhitkovichsky". Forestry performs the following functions:

restoration of forests on deforested areas
cultivation of forest plantations
protection of forests from fires and illegal logging
protection of forests from pests and diseases
control of the radiation situation, radiation and environmental monitoring
management and control of forestry and hunting

Due to its geographical location, rich animal and plant life, the Zhitkovichi Forestry Enterprise occupies a special place among forestry enterprises in the Republic of Belarus. Hunting grounds are located in the northern part of the Zhitkovichi district. "Hunter's house "Chervonoe"" is a popular place among outdoor enthusiasts. Convenient geographical location, comfortable living conditions and convenient access in any weather conditions and at any time of the year, make the recreation center a great place for hunting, fishing and recreation. "Zhitkovichi Forestry" offers a tourist service - the ecological trail "Pearls of the Zhitkovichi region". Excursion options: historical and ecological and bus, 3 hours and 30 minutes long. Visitors will get acquainted with the sights of the Zhitkovichi region related to various historical periods, with historical objects from the Great Patriotic War.
