NEMO MINSK DOLPHINARIUM

The year 2007 was declared the "Year of Dolphins" by the United Nations. The European Academy of Natural Sciences (AES) has closely monitored the experience of European states in rescuing and fostering humane treatment of these amazing animals. Therefore, it is especially gratifying that at the end of the year the European Academy of Natural Sciences (AENS) awarded the dolphinarium "Nemo" with a silver medal and a diploma of Nobel laureate Albert Schweitzer "For popularizing environmental knowledge, for caring for dolphins and for the development of dolphin therapy."

Minsk Dolphinarium "Nemo" is not only a native and cozy home for the most beloved marine animals, but also a cultural and educational center where anyone can touch the mystery of communication with the smartest and most humane animals. Among the main tasks of the dolphinarium is the popularization of knowledge about marine mammals, the promotion of environmental ideas, the development of ecological culture among the population.

The activity of the dolphinarium is of an ecological and educational nature. The performances at the dolphinarium tell about the physiology and characters of dolphins, the peculiarities of their behavior, as well as the need for careful attitude to dolphins and to all nature.

Children from orphanages, orphans, disabled children - all year round will be able to collectively visit the Minsk Dolphinarium for free.

The Minsk Dolphinarium is home to the northern fur seals Herringbone and Alex, as well as our charming and unsurpassed Pacific dolphins - Hercules - Vita, Mika - Hugo and the sea lion cub - Nicholas. Minsk Dolphinarium "Nemo" can accommodate 700 visitors.
