INSPECTION OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

The main tasks of the committee are:

implementation, in accordance with its competence, of public administration in the field of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, including subsoil, waters, wildlife and flora;

ensuring the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity, participation in the development and implementation of measures for the reproduction of objects of the animal and plant world;

control in the field of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, carried out by:

in the form of inspections in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation on control (supervisory) activities in the areas of:

protection, protection, reproduction and use of wild animals and wild plants belonging to the species included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus, tree and shrub vegetation and other wild plants within the boundaries of settlements, wild animals that are not objects of hunting and fishing;

use and protection of mineral resources;

protection of atmospheric air and the ozone layer;

use and protection of waters;

waste management;

other forms of control provided for by law;

coordination of the activities of other public administration bodies, local executive and administrative bodies in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources in the territory of the Vitebsk region;

interaction within its competence with local executive and administrative bodies in solving environmental issues;

providing state bodies, other organizations and citizens with environmental information, organizing the promotion of environmental knowledge, participating in the creation of a system of environmental education, education and upbringing, interaction with public organizations (associations);

implementation of international cooperation, study, generalization and dissemination of international experience in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources.
