At the Club Evening in March, NBEC members and our guests had the opportunity to welcome two guests of honor and referents at once. Ms Monika Schindler, Head of the Consular/Legal/Visa Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Minsk, opened the evening with a short report. Thus Mrs. Schindler continued a good and important for us tradition of annual meetings of the Head of the Visa Department and Club members as part of the Club Evenings. Ms Schindler's presentation was received with great interest and sparked a lengthy discussion that followed. In addition to the familiar and always relevant topics, such innovations as the establishment of a visa-free regime for short-term stays of foreign citizens in Belarus or a visa-free regime for Ukrainians with EU countries also became the subject of discussion.
In the second part of the Club Evening, Ulf Schneider, founder and CEO of one of the most active members of the SCHNEIDER GROUP, gave a versatile and interesting presentation. During his presentation Mr. Schneider introduced everybody to the history of origin and development of his company, told about the ideas and attitude with which the company began its way to success, the challenges it faces and also about the business climate and opportunities of the countries in which SCHNEIDER GROUP is active today. In conclusion, Mr. Schneider presented the current status and future prospects for OWC-Verlag, including the new A3-App, with which the publishing house is taking further steps to digitalize its products.
After a very busy official part of the event, the evening continued with a buffet reception. We would like to thank our referents for their performance, as well as our new partners for taking part in the Club Evening. Mr. Piotr Filipowicz, Deputy Head of Administration of the Minsk Free Economic Zone, and Ms. Maria Karas, representative of the Association of European Businesses, graced the evening with their presence.
