January – Club evening: strategic review and planning of Club events for 2017
The first event in the 2017 Club calendar was the Club Evening on 11.01.2017. Traditionally, at the first Club Evening of the year, Club members are given the opportunity to evaluate the work of the Club over the past year and to make suggestions for the club's work in the coming year.
In the first part of the meeting the Chairman of the Board, Treasurer and Head of Club Representation presented a brief report on the activities of the Club in the past year: activities carried out, Club membership and financial status at the moment. A more detailed report of the Board on the above topics will be presented as usual at the annual general meeting of the Club members in February.
The meeting continued with an exchange of ideas and thoughts on the activities of the Club in 2017. Some members had sent their suggestions in writing in advance, while others were able to speak at the meeting. The holding of monthly club evenings, one main economic event and the New Year's Eve Ball, as integral parts of the Club's calendar of events, was approved by all present. The most important recommendations for the work of the Club in 2017 included expanding the range of events organized, in particular through excursions and company visits. In addition, specific suggestions were made regarding the referees to be invited.
All suggestions and wishes made will be put on the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Club's members in accordance with the statutes of the Club. The agenda along with other documents will be sent to all members no later than 19.01.2017 for information and additional suggestions for the general meeting (by 26.01.2017).
