BELARUS PROSTHETIC AND ORTHOPAEDIC REHABILITATION CENTRE

A separate structural subdivision of RUE "Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Centre" in Vitebsk was created in 1945. Its aim was to improve services and provide orthopaedic shoes, prosthetics and means of rehabilitation to all those in need.

. Today the division produces prosthetic and orthopedic products also according to individual orders, taking into account all features of a particular person. Such products are intended both for restoration of body functions and appearance, for compensation of lost limbs as well as for fixation or unloading in case of spinal and limb problems. They include: prostheses, orthoses, trusses, apparatus, corsets, reclinators, stepladders, splints, etc.

. Prophylactic footwear for workers of light industry was manufactured. They are intended for indoor and outdoor use in warm seasons. The footwear contains a special orthopedic insert that prevents the development of pathological deviations of the foot and relieves the foot fatigue syndrome. These shoes are made of a multi-layer textile backed material, with the possibility of adjusting the fullness (volume). The wedge sole with 30-35 cm high equinus is used for uniform distribution of static loads.

. For flat feet prevention our company has special shoes with natural upper and longitudinal supinator with heel height 18 mm. The footbed creates an extra pressure point on the inside of the foot. It prevents the foot from turning inwards and distributes the static and dynamic loads evenly, thus having a preventive effect on the formation of flat feet.
