10th German Economy Day in the Republic of Belarus “Trade, Cooperation, Investment – German-Belarusian Economic Relations”
On 26 September 2019, Minsk hosted the 10th German Economy Day in the Republic of Belarus. The 10th DNE was organised by the Representative Office of the German Economy in the Republic of Belarus and the German-Belarusian Economic Club under the auspices of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. The topic of the event was "Trade, cooperation, investments - German-Belarusian economic relations.
More than 200 representatives of German and Belarusian enterprises and organizations, republican and local authorities as well as international organizations took part in the event, among which there was the delegation of German companies headed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Energy Mr. Ulrich Nusbaum. We were also happy to welcome Dmitriy Krutoy, Minister of Economy, Maksim Yermolovitch, Minister of Finance, Manfred Huterer, German Ambassador, and Aloisia Vergätter, Austrian Ambassador.
It can be said that the 10th anniversary of the Days of German Economy in Belarus was a culmination of these traditional events in terms of organization and contents. Participation of numerous professional public showed that the format of the event was in great demand. The event provided politicians and economists, experts and market participants with a suitable platform for discussing general questions of German-Belarusian cooperation as well as individual aspects of doing business.
As at the previous events of this format the basis of the 10th German Economy Day in Belarus was German-Belarusian economic relations. But global challenges concerning bilateral partnership were also among the topics of the event. This theme was reflected, in particular, in the signing of the memorandum "On a Common Economic Space between Lisbon and Vladivostok". Within the framework of the 10th Day of German Economy in Belarus six companies, five of which are members of our Club, joined this initiative.
We would like to express our gratitude to all members and representatives of other German companies that took an active part in preparation and realization of the event - referents, participants of podium discussions and partners.
